I made these three blocks out of one fat quarter and there's still a bit left to cut up for 6" blocks!
oops! I cut off the star points with the camera this time! |
They look much better up close than from a distance.
I wasn't able to do any sewing of any kind for most of this week. Fortunately my arm is feeling better now. This is what I've made in the last two days:
Before the tulips are all gone from the fields I had to get some in purple. And now I'll have to find some more purple scraps or remnants to play with too!
I'm linking up with all the other scrappers. Hopefully I'll get round to their blogs this weekend; I didn't make it last weekend.
WOW you have been busy--lovely blocks--and those tulips are the exact same color as the ones i got for Easter from my DIL--mine are blue inside---so gorgeous...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWonderful blocks. And those tulips are beautiful.
ReplyDeletepurple tulips are my favorite. I better run out tomorrow and get some. LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally much of a purple fan, but the background on that 12" star block is lovely, and those tulips are a wonderful colour. I hope your shoulder/arm trouble continues to improve - it's sew frustrating to be held back!
ReplyDeleteYour tulips (and you quilt blocks) are wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one with the tiny green, and more purple shows in this reverse version. Glad your arm is better. I have no such excuse. However, last night I stitched the black border on one long quilt edge and found that I had done it on the back side. Try ripping black on black! So today I enjoyed getting out in the sun and having fun with a friend, now for a nap. The ripping can wait!
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks! Enjoyed pictures of your beautiful craft projects in your previous posts.
ReplyDeleteAren't your stars and churn dash blocks growing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips.
Lovely purples! I think your blocks will make a wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeleteI've just popped over from Anne's blog. That's a lovely piece of stitch work you've sent. You are a kind soul.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job. Hope the arm is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYay purple!
