I considered several options for selecting the winners of the two birds. Because there were so many entries I finally decided to use this random number generator. Saved me from having to copy over a bunch of names or numbers on little scraps of paper!
And now the moment you've all been waiting for...
This little bird will be winging its way to Stacysews:
And this one will be flying off to live with Quiltdivajulie!
Now I've got to catch the other birds and get them into their shipping container for their trip to CreativeKismet, the originator of this exchange and give-away. I meant to do that a couple of days ago but got waylaid by chemical exposures. Getting these little guys to the post office may be an adventure in and of itself. This affliction is teaching me how to ask for help, that's for sure.
I am SO excited. . . this little bird will take up residence in the Baobob tree quilt that my daughter in law brought to me from her African safari in 2006! (The quilt now hangs in my studio)
ReplyDeleteI'll post a photo on my blog once the bird is all settled in her new home
Hope you are feeling better by now. The birds turned out wonderfully. I got wiped out by all the busyness of pre-Christmas stuff, classes, Christmas and visiting. I'm hoping to be back for good now but have eye surgery in February so we'll see how it all goes. One day at a time, right? Thanks so much for asking about how I was. It helped get me out of the nowhere zone I was in and to get going again.
ReplyDeleteI sent my sister links to your fungly stars and to the wonky hearts site you shared on your blog. She is trying hard to let go of perfectionism and so I thought your fungly quilt was a good thing to see. It's a nice looking quilt even if it was supposed to be fungly so it might let her know great things can come with letting go.
Lucky girls to be getting a bird of a feather *VBS8 You gotta be more careful there Sue, cause its just going to keep happening. And we value you way too much for your wonderful self to have you being a true canary in the coalmine!!
ReplyDeleteNow be more careful!!@! Hugs, Finn
These birds are so adorable and cheerful. Hmm, I bet they'd be great as a mobile for a child's room. :-)
