But I also sewed 2" scrap strips together to make 12" Lego blocks and 1.5" strips to make 6" stacked logs.
One lonely postage stamp star made it into the mix too. 😊 These will all will go into my Parts Department until I have enough to do something with them or I get inspired to be creative. You can see what I did with the 6" Bow Tie blocks I made out of scraps in my previous post.
Kate and Gun host this opportunity show something we've made out of scraps. Pop over to Tall Tales from Chiconia or Rutigt to see who else is playing along - and maybe to get some great ideas of your own!
I love the owl block -so colourful and cute.
ReplyDeleteI love that little owl peeking out of the churn dash!
ReplyDeleteYour stacked log blocks really speak to me! I am piecing a quilt top out of 1.5" strips from the scrap pile, but I think I like the idea of blocks much better. I laughed at your "Parts Department" comment - now that's being organized!
ReplyDeleteAnother owl lover! You've been very productive with your scraps.
ReplyDeleteThe fussy-cut owl churn dash looks like the start of maybe another kid's quilt – perhaps a boy, the colours are quite neutral. And could those Lego blocks be the start of a fabulous scrappy border? Can the Parts Department deliver up any other fussy-cut creatures to add to the owl?
