First SAL in February

Yup, there will be two Stitch Along posts this month even though this is a short month! I don't have a lot to show. You may remember I decided to start this kit from DMC called Winter Fairy:

It's a good thing I put in a few stitches shortly after that post.

Since then I've done something egregious to my right shoulder. There's been a lot of pain. All that cutting and piecing of strips (previous post) didn't help, I'm sure. I've been to the doctor twice. It's better but still not right. I'm now trying to avoid any activity that will further aggravate the situation and give the shoulder a chance to heal. {sigh} Sometimes you just can't win for losing.

I hope everyone else in this SAL has had a more successful three weeks than I had. We have another new member; Welcome Jocelyn! To see what they're working on just click on the names below. Hopefully I'll have happier things to report on the 24th of February. 😊

  3. I hope your shoulder is feeling much better soon. I wouldn't be surprised if all the cutting has caused the problem. I once injured my shoulder pressing new tiles onto the bathroom wall. Lovely stitching so far :-)

  4. Thanks for the welcome! You did do a lot of cutting; I find machine stitching aggravates a certain muscle in my lower back so I have to be mindful. Shoulders take a long time to heal so be patient and you are so right to take it easy. Meanwhile, isn't she just a lovely little thing to stitch!

  5. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that... I hope it continues to improve, and that you're able to hold off from the cutting and stitching long enough to let it heal fully!

  6. I am sorry to hear that you are nursing a sore shoulder. DH hurt his this summer, and he has had to be VERY good for it to heal up...nearly dislocated it. I do hope your rest encourages a quick recovery and back to stitching!

  9. Hi Sue - so sorry to hear you have a sore shoulder! I hope you're able to rest it and stay safe, warm, and dry indoors during our recent snowstorm. I know from running that if I don't rest a little injury it takes much longer to heal. Not that I LEARN from this, mind you, but I am trying! You'll be stitching again soon, I'm sure!

  11. It´s easy to get carried away, when you are working on something funny. Now you better take a break and let that shoulder heal!!!!
