So while I've been working on the wedding quilt for my niece and her fiance I've also been sewing my red scrap patches into various blocks as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. This is what I've accomplished on that front this month:
Even I am surprised at how many there are. More surprising (or maybe not) is how many red patches I still have to play with!
You can't see depth very well in this shot but trust me, there's plenty there!
I've made significant progress on the wedding quilt but don't have pictures ready yet. I want to get the final borders on and the back made today so James can quilt it next week. Stay tuned! Oh, and hop on over to So Scrappy to see what others have done with their red scraps. :- )
The red paisley, and little folks hanging on a blue twig, fabulous fabrics. A great collection of reds.
ReplyDeleteLove your red blocks. So good to have all those pieces in red to play with. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the red front. Technically, you still have one more week to finish up on those red scraps. Enjoy! ;^)
ReplyDeleteYou got more done than I did, by a long shot! (I did one red block in the last two weeks. *sigh*)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the wedding quilt!
You have some gorgeous reds. Nothing as fresh and lovely as a red and white quilt – unless it's a blue and white one! Good choice of light relief project, too :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely reds. I'm just amazed you have time to do anything other than the wedding quilt at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely LOVING your design wall this week!! Nice job on your RED blocks for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
ReplyDeleteWonderful red blocks! I'm working with a lot of reds - making more scraps for later!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely reds left to play with.
ReplyDeleteI love the reds!
