Progress has been slow, but I've put the border around the stars and squares featuring the Riley Blake Jane Austen reproduction prints. Now I'm auditioning some low volume Hourglass units to go around the perimeter.
The floral prints are from the reproduction line. The script print is something I've had in my stash for a while.
It's one of those that's illegible. I'm afraid I don't have enough of the script to go all the way around the medallion. That particular print is old enough to not be available anymore. At this point I'm not sure what I'll do to compensate. I only have fat quarters of the reproduction prints but there are enough of them, I think, to go the distance. My intention was to make this a scrappy looking quilt; this dilemma only adds to that flavor! I'm still working on an appropriate name for this project too. Suggestions are welcome. 😊
Can you do a single row of those blocks, to go round, those colours are so gentle. " Gentile Lady" for the name maybe??
ReplyDeleteI do like the double row, but had also thought of a single. If you can find something that gives the same tone as the script, it would be SO pretty with the double row. Sorry, naming is always my angst point.
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful! Love the fabric with writing on it... hopefully you have enough. I am terrible at naming quilts, so I'm no help there! xx
